WoW has been the king of mmos for some time now putting Blizzard entertainment to the Top
Massive expansions and huge content for players that really want to spend some hard core gaming time over the past six years.There are actually dozens of thing to do in this mmo.Levening ,questing ,social ,raiding ,pvp.
Players can pick between two Factions.
The Alliance and the Horde.
The game has both pvp and pve.
The latest expansion was Cataclysm were players must team up to fight a great dragon named Deathwing to save their homelands from total destruction.

The bad thing though is that the new content has many thing from the past. Many already defeated bad guys show up again in raids which makes the games a bit boring for older player but gives the chance to new players to learn about the World of Warcraft Lore.
Plus the playable classes get refixes over and over again in order to keep the balance so many players become unhappy!
Who wants to be nerfed anyway!

Aion online

Aion online travels you to a world were angels are fighting to maintain control of their world.

The Dark Angels Asmodians and the White angels Elyos.

The game was launched in 2009 .

It is pvp based so the pve content is not that great.

The pvp is quite fun though since you can fight in mid air but still if you don't cooperate with others don't expect much. Teaming is the whole spirit of the mmos in the first place.

Since the latest expansion the game was using  the old school ncsoft grind system that makes leveling really tough.

On the latest expansion though they gave the opportunity for faster xp. All u need is a High level character to boost you through power grinding.

Another disadvantage is the fact that the game needs a really powerful PC to run smoothly.

If you are looking for a hardcore pvp game Aion is one of the best to start with.

Darkfall online

A nice move from a Greek gaming producing company. Aventurine SA.

A vast world to explore many different playable races including the good old Dwarfs- human-elves and werewolves! Yes werewolves 2 years before blizzard entertainment brought the worgen in.

Beautiful graphics but a very bad players point of view. You can turn around to see your character, u can not target something u just have to go come enough to hit it.

The game play is a bit strange to the usual mmo player though.  No starting skills classes, no leveling at all. U simply pick an axe hit things and u become an expert eventually. Jump makes your jumps better getting hit makes your body become stronger, like the pt system in RF-online. It 's like playing FPS game and rpg all in one. You actually have to target the person u want to shoot at , u must move to dodge a hit and u must aim to shoot some.

Sound is not that bad but the player sounds are really annoying . I had to turn the sound off at some point.

Trading skills take too long to exp but in my opinion its worth it . Basically you can mine the same rock for hours to get the mining skill, same goes with lumberjacking etc. You can actually craft your own stuff and put your name on it!

The story is not something Epic as we are used to. You practically make your own story ,Clan ,Town and you fight for domination of places.
